# How to show a notification after a time delay

> Set a notification to appear X seconds after the page loads.

Time-delayed notifications wait a set number of seconds before appearing. This gives visitors time to read your page before seeing the offer.

## Steps

1. Open your notification settings
2. In the **Trigger** section, select **Time on page**
3. Set the delay in seconds (e.g., 10 seconds)
4. Save

## Recommended delays

* **5 seconds**: quick trigger, good for landing pages
* **10 seconds**: standard, gives visitors time to orient
* **20-30 seconds**: for blog posts or longer content pages
* **60+ seconds**: for visitors deeply browsing

## Tip

A 10-second delay is a good default for hotel websites. It lets the visitor start reading about rooms or rates before your offer appears.
