Exit intent detects when a visitor moves their cursor toward the browser’s close or back button. At that moment, TinyBell shows your notification as a last chance to convert them.

How to enable exit intent

  1. Open your notification settings
  2. In the Trigger section, select Exit intent
  3. Save your changes

Does it work on mobile?

Exit intent on mobile works differently. Since there is no cursor, TinyBell detects when the user scrolls up quickly (a common behavior before leaving a page) or when they switch tabs.

Best practices

  • Use exit intent for your strongest offer (highest discount or most compelling deal)
  • Keep the popup simple: one headline, one CTA button
  • Do not combine exit intent with page-load triggers on the same notification
  • Show each exit intent popup only once per session to avoid annoying visitors
