You can create different notifications for new visitors and returning visitors.

Why this matters for hotels

  • New visitors are still deciding. Show them a “Best Price Guarantee” or “10% direct booking discount” to convince them.
  • Returning visitors are closer to booking. Show them a “Still looking? Book now and save” or “Your selected dates are popular” urgency message.

Steps

  1. Open your notification settings
  2. Find the Targeting section
  3. Add a Visitor type rule
  4. Select New visitors or Returning visitors
  5. Save

How TinyBell detects returning visitors

TinyBell uses session storage to identify returning visitors. If a visitor has seen your website before in the same browser, they are considered returning.
